Online Applications are invited by using the website www.odishassc.in for selection of candidates for recruitment to 17 posts of Prison Welfare Officer/Sub Divisional Probation Officer /After Care Officer under the Directorate of Prisons and Correctional Services in Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC). Educational Qualifications:
Candidates should have hold Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
Note : The Applicant must have the Odia as one of the subjects in the HSC or passed examination in Odia equivalent to M.E. standard or passed in Odia as language subject in final examination of Class-VII or passed a test in Odia in M.E. School Standard conducted by Education Department Govt, of Odisha on the date of the Application.
Age Limits:
The minimum age for the post is 21 years and the maximum age is 32 years as on 01.01.2014. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 yers for Candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/Women Candidates.
Pay Scale Salary:
Pay Scale Is Rs. 9,300 to Rs. 34,800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4,200/-.
Application Fees:
All SEBC and UR Candidates other than persons with Disability (PWD) have to pay an Examination Fee of Rs. 100/-. The Fees can be deposited either online or offline mode using the Treasury Portal or by the conventional mode of Deposit in the Treasury.

- Preliminary Examination (qualifying nature only) -> 100 Marks
- Main Written examination comprising of 3 papers -> 300 Marks
- Weightage Marks from career assessment and additional weightage marks for Psychology/Sociology as one of the paper at Graduation Level (Maximum) -> 20 Marks
- Viva-voce Test -> 30 Marks
